Carbon Kit Installation Guide
An overview of fitting Paktechz carbon fibre parts, from checking the part on arrival through to care in the first period after installation, written so owners understand what each step does and where the risks are.
Every part is moulded for a specific model and bolts to the factory mounting points with no bodywork modification. Even so, for the best fit and for safety we recommend installation by a technician experienced with body kits — Flinstone Autoparts offers this service.
Installation steps

Inspect the part before removing the film
Check the part number and model against the order, and inspect the clear coat, the edges and the weave all over before peeling the protective film. If anything looks wrong, tell us before installation starts — once the film is off and the part has been test-fitted it is hard to establish when the fault occurred.

Bring car and part to a suitable temperature
Automotive tape bonds best at normal room temperature. Do not fit parts when the car is hot from the sun or so cold that condensation forms on the surface. If needed, park in the shade and let the car settle before starting.

Clean the mating surfaces
Wash the mounting area thoroughly, remove grease, wax and coatings with isopropyl alcohol and let it dry completely. This step is the number one cause of parts coming loose later: if any coating residue remains, the tape will never reach full bond strength.

Always dry-fit first
Offer the part up without removing the tape liner. Check that the mounting points line up with the factory holes, that the gaps are equal left and right, and that the part follows the lines of the car, then mark the position with masking tape. Do not skip this: automotive tape grips hard on first contact and is almost impossible to reposition.

Fix the part to the car
Fit all the factory fixings loosely first, then tighten from the centre outward to both ends. Only then peel the tape liner and press along the full length. Working from the centre out keeps the part from twisting or drifting to one side.

Finish and inspect
Check the gaps all round are equal on both sides with no point lifting or refusing to seat, wipe off fingerprints and cleaner residue, confirm every screw and clip is in place, and open and close the hood or doors involved once more.

Let the tape cure
After fitting, leave the car to stand for a while before washing it or aiming a pressure washer at the edges, so the tape can reach full bond strength. For the first period, avoid high-pressure washing and driving through standing water.
Precautions
Never drill or cut the part yourself
Cured carbon does not flex like plastic. Drilling or cutting it yourself can crack the inner laminate in ways that are invisible from the outside. If an adjustment is needed, let a technician do it.
Do not force a part into shape
If the test fit is not right, something does not match — a different variant, or a car whose dimensions have changed after an accident or respray. Stop and consult us rather than forcing it into place.
Never aim hot air at the clear coat
Heat is for warming the tape only, not the surface of the part. Sustained high heat damages the gloss coating permanently.
Beware of aggressive chemicals
Keep wheel cleaner, fallout remover and strong solvents away from carbon parts. A mild car shampoo and a microfibre cloth are enough.
Allow extra time for a car that has been hit or resprayed
Body dimensions may differ from factory, so installation needs more adjustment on the day. Telling us in advance lets us assess it more accurately.
